black friday

I'm just so impressed by this track from Cool Calm Pete that I seriously can't stop listening to it. It seriously reminds me of shades of MF Doom in his prime. It's the first track I bought on iTunes - actually Mag bought it but it was Will's money so technically Will bought it so thanks Will (haha convoluted!)! But honestly, it talks about everything wrong with the world:

Spend that dough before your bread is stale

You heard? He sold his guns to the enemy
Leader of the free world shot down your cherry tree

Now everyone’s so self-conscious
But trends stay sarcastic, pompous

Vitamins, minerals, iron, niacin
Nexium, Xanax, Valium, Ritalin
Random violence, two lines of coke,
Great recipe, but that’s not the antidote

So just do it, don’t leave home without it
Think different, less feeling, I’m bad about it

Attention shoppers, can of worms half price,
Slice of humble pie ain’t worth the shelf life

Fast life on a sesame bun

Now read the book kid, watch the movies
Straight to video, recycled material

Supersized, all wheel drive
It’s alive, yellow no. 5!

Seriously, best punchlines ever. The economy, American liberty, fast food, drugs, apathy, lack of education, chemicals - our world is dying! And my favorite line - "slice of humble pie ain't worth the shelf life"; nobody is humble these days! And you wonder why I've lost all faith in humanity!

Ah this stuff is like liquid crack poured into my ears!!!
