I plan to do a piece on Descartes duality, and its bearings on modern neurosurgery. I'm writing a paper on WM/GM abnormalities contributing the obsessive-compulsive disorder, and why certain neurosurgical interventions for these illnesses are effective, so I've noticed a few interesting things that I hope to share in the upcoming post(s).

In the meantime, I am a definite purveyor of brain materials, and have recently discovered a new set of things I would like to purchase. Here's the latest collection:


The brain bowl. For eating cereal. And brain food. Now you can feel like a zombie without actually being one; it'll sure fool the zombies when the end of the world comes and zombies rule this land.

Brain in a Jar. It's hand knitted, which is really neat, and you can get other organs in jars too from this one dealer, who I'm guessing is a retired neuroscientist grandmother.



I have this fascination with lightboxes featuring brains on them, mostly because the idea is really cool (how neat would it be to use a brain as a nightlight), but because of the symbolism, "My brain turned on," "I had a bright idea."

Each side of the blocks has a different print so that you have four different puzzles in one. They're so detailed and come in a beautiful box with a print on it itself.
